Some rare few have complained about my use of this alias on site here, not anyone with kind intent or balanced reason. Though on another authority ~ "someone who plays music for drink"…but that’s not me ~ though I’m unlikely to refuse such kindness. In other words, the words of the person, scholar, and poet who put this on me, with affection and good intentions ~ "someone who gets drunk on music…" ~ including for this page of details a need to test the links to make sure they’re all still viable… ?Ĭeol = music / Olachan = drunk or drunkard… This little set of details, like me, is in need of an overhaul Apologies about those half a dozen or less projects I’ve been doing for others, sometimes left on the back burner (only two), but there have been distractions over the last few years, time and attention and care given to friends, family, who have been in worse shape than me, with some losses as a consequence. May 17th, 2016, 3 a.m., a Tuesday ~ I suffer an M.I., a heart attack brought on by a blood clot! It is part of my details. Still, despite this, my first few MK Whistles remain favourites, though the love affair is somewhat tainted by these most recent experiences… I did show these to others who were also shocked and disappointed with the defects evident with both whistles. As well, for both, their cases were a poor fit, short. On the first of these two the windway and passage of the fipple were quite off centered. Worse, on expressing my disappointment, was the attitude and response of their maker Misha Somerville - "It’s only cosmetic!" - "It plays!" He couldn’t even bother to answer when informed about problems with the replacement sent for the first. The most recent two MK whistles I received were sub-standard, had obvious manufacturing defects.
MK Whistles - Sadly, having previously sang their praises here as well as making purchases for others, I can no longer recommend these whistles or their maker.
